Marc van den Muijzenberg holds a M.A. in History of Leiden University. He has over 15 years of relevant experience in capacity building for the public and educational sector in the Netherlands and abroad.
As a HRM/HRD advisor, Marc established post-academic in-service degrees for executive level civil servants in CIS countries and the Netherlands (Mater of Public Administration programmes) and supported the development of competency frameworks in Croatia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and South Sudan. In the capacity of institution building and public administration reform expert, he has been involved in organisational development of public sector and educational institutions (Universities and Professional learning Organisations) in emerging/transition countries (Azerbaijan, Croatia, Egypt, Georgia, Greece, Ukraine, Yemen, Hungary, Republic of Kazakhstan, Republic of Macedonia, Romania, Slovak Republic, Tanzania and South Sudan).
His geographical and intercultural experience spans three continents, including Europe, Asia and Africa. Hence, he has worked successfully with other experts from various national and cultural backgrounds and is working effectively in challenging environments. Based on his experience as a project manager, trainer and expert on international development projects, he acquired excellent interpersonal, communication and diplomatic skills. Marc was director of the Dutch Institute for Public Administration (ROI) from 2008-2010. He established Dutch Academic Services in 2013.
